Jules Cooper is a successful New York businesswoman who seemingly has everything: a rapidly growing career in marketing and a handsome boyfriend named Mitchell. Much of Jules’s favorite childhood memories revolve around Christmas Land and the holiday’s her family spent there in her youth. Upon arriving in Christmas Land to claim the property, she meets handsome and charming Tucker Barnes, the lawyer handling the estate. Christmas Land has seen better days since Glinda’s tragic passing and Jules is forced to make many complicated decisions. Should she sell Christmas Land to real estate tycoon Mason Richards and get back to her busy city life? Or should she stay and bring Christmas Land back to its former glory? With decisions to be made in both life and love, this Christmas for Jules is sure to be both interesting… and magical.

Killjoys stars Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore, and Luke MacFarlane suit up in their bounty hunting gear once again as filming on the series’ second season begins this week in Toronto.
Space’s most-watched original series ever wrapped up season one with a major cliffhanger. With Westerley under attack, Dutch and John evacuate everyone they can aboard their ship Lucy. Everyone, that is, but D’Avin. Sent to help Scarback leader Alvis, D’Av picked up the trail of enemy number one—the dubious Khlyen—and ended up imprisoned by him on Arkin. In the end, we were left with a Quad on the verge of collapse and Dutch’s sworn promise to find her friend. So, where will the show go from there? This is what we know so far:
“In season two, the trio is on the move to uncover Dutch’s duplicitous and mysterious childhood mentor, Khlyen’s secret agenda. As shocking truths are revealed, Dutch, D’avin, and Johnny realize the Quad’s notorious criminals are no match for the threat within the RAC. The Killjoy’s loyalties are tested as they struggle to find the balance between politics, family, and the good of the Quad. With so much on the line, the Killjoys begin to wonder if the warrant is indeed all.”
And there’s more. Here’s what showrunner Michelle Lovretta has to say about season two: “In the debut season, we introduced the Killjoys and learned about their world, the politics of the Quad, the mysteries of the RAC, and the rich cast of characters. This season, we up the ante on the sci-fi factor, sexiness, and stakes, and answer some existing core questions while introducing new mysteries for our dynamic trio. This season promises to be a twisted romp, but the heart and soul of Killjoys remains the same—that of deep friendships and family bonds. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Excited yet? Season two of Killjoys will premiere on Space in 2016.

The first year of Killjoys was one of the most fun space shows this side of Firefly, and work is officially underway on Season 2.
Production on the 10-episode second season of the Syfy (Corporate owner of Blastr –Ed.) series began this week in Toronto, Ontario. The show is set to return to the airwaves this summer, with key stars Hannah John-Kamen (Dutch), Aaron Ashmore (John Jaqobis) and Luke Macfarlane (D’avin Jaqobis) all reprising their roles.
The second season will pick up in the wake of the shocking Season 1 finale and follow Dutch and John as they desperately search for D’avin following his abduction at the hands of Dutch’s duplicitous and mysterious childhood mentor, Khlyen (Rob Stewart, Suits). The network promises that some “surprising truths” will be revealed, the team’s loyalties will be tested, and the Killjoys will struggle to “balance the lives of their killjoy family and defending the good of the Quad.” So yeah, just your usual Friday night in this corner of the ‘verse.

The first season of Killjoys averaged 1.5 million viewers (L+3), and grew into a solid critical hit among genre fans. It was swashbuckling fun in the same vein as Farscape and Firefly, and we can’t wait to see where Dutch and the gang head next.
